Mbappé signs with On: an OFFICIAL bet that shakes the market
Kylian Mbappé has officially left his historic sponsor, Nike, to sign a long‑term contract with the Swiss brand On, an announcement that caused a small bomb effect a few days ago.
A groundbreaking partnership with On
On has pulled off an exceptional move by attracting one of the biggest stars in world football. The company has also recruited Thierry Henry, close to Mbappé, as football director, as well as tennis legend Roger Federer.
Since the start of his career, the Bondy prodigy has always been equipped by Nike, which elevated him to the same level as Cristiano Ronaldo or Neymar. This visibility made him a major figure for the American brand.
Mbappé's contract with Nike expired this summer, paving the way for his big jump to On. Several sources indicate that the player was somewhat disappointed by his lack of visibility in Nike's World Cup commercial.
"From the beginning, what attracted me to On is the opportunity to build something unprecedented to shape the football of tomorrow," Mbappé said in a statement. He added that he wants to bring his experience and vision, push the limits through innovation while preserving the joy of playing.
In addition to his new contract, Mbappé becomes a shareholder of On and is set to provide his vision for the brand, marking a major step in his professional journey.
