Maurizio Pizzoferrato praises the national team in Turkey, but warns about Mancini and urges caution for the next match against France without Mbappé

In the heart of a Turkish stadium, Maurizio Pizzoferrato, correspondent for Radio Napoli Centrale for the program Sempre Con Te, representative of the agency Area, recounted having “rubbed his eyes” in front of the National team, describing the emotion of seeing the squad in Turkey and confronting the reality of international football.

The commentator added that everyone was stunned, just three days before the match against Belgium.

Something negative had already been written about Mancini’s return, according to Pizzoferrato.

Technique and speed of the National team

In the first half, Italy proved perfect in technique, tactics and running, verticalising more. Kayode was a decisive factor, with a violent run and a good foot.

Pizzoferrato observed that, if the starter were Palestra, the wingers are fine, and that the four‑man defence will be tested against France, where there will be no Mbappé.

Regarding the forwards, he mentioned Sebastiano and Pio Esposito: Sebastiano, who debuted under Conte, should explode, while Pio is described as indispensable, capable of lifting the team and scoring.

He also recalled the image of a child asking for Calafiori’s shirt, a moment that took everyone “back in time”.

With the next match in Paris looming, Pizzoferrato invites us to understand who will be the starter, suggesting that choices such as Barella or the composition of the defence could indicate a new direction for Italy.
