Martínez ignites Inter comeback as Torino clinches coach's first win

At the San Siro, Inter Milan (Inter de Milão) overturned a 2‑0 deficit against Napoli on Saturday, with Lautaro Martínez netting the winner in the 91st minute to seal a 3‑2 triumph and keep a perfect start to their title defence in Italy (Itália), while in Turin, Ignazio Abate guided his side to a 2‑1 victory over Fiorentina in his first match in charge.

Inter rally from two‑goal hole

Napoli appeared on course for victory when Matteo Politano and Rasmus Hojlund put the visitors ahead 2‑0 at the 53rd minute, leaving Inter Milan (Inter de Milão) trailing at the San Siro. The Italian side struggled to find a response as the first half ended. Inter’s hopes revived when Lautaro Martínez pulled one back, narrowing the gap.

Marcus Thuram levelled the score eight minutes from the final whistle, restoring parity. Four minutes later Martínez surged forward from a corner and drove the ball home in the 91st minute, completing a dramatic 3‑2 comeback. The win preserved Inter’s 100 percent record in the opening phase of their Série A title defence.

Torino seize first win under Abate

Ignazio Abate celebrated his inaugural victory as Torino’s head coach, guiding the side to a 2‑1 triumph over Fiorentina. Rolando Mandragora gave the visitors an early equaliser from outside the area, making it 1‑1. Che Adams then pushed the ball into the net in the 82nd minute, securing the decisive goal.

Mateo Pellegrino unleashed a long‑range effort that should have been an easy save for goalkeeper Lucas Perri, but the ball slipped between his legs. Perri later produced a series of crucial saves that kept Torino in the contest before the winning strike.

The two fixtures illustrate how quickly fortunes can reverse in Italy’s top flight, with Inter salvaging three points after a two‑goal deficit and Torino turning a stalemate into a victory under new leadership. Os supporters of both clubs erupted in celebration. Both clubs now look to build on the momentum as the season progresses.
