Manchester City eye Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye as Savinho departs

Manchester City Tipped to move for this Everton wide player, seeing a Decent fit for Maresca, as the club looks to replace Savinho. The 26‑year‑old Iliman Ndiaye, who posted six goals and three assists in 34 appearances, could arrive this summer. In a recent interview with Football Insider, ex‑Manchester City financial advisor Stefan Borson tipped his former club to move in for the Everton wide player.

Borson said, “I do think that the other teams would be interested. Man City, in particular, like the player (Ndiaye). And if City were to sell Savinho, maybe they would be interested in him.” His comment highlighted that a potential Savinho sale could free up space for the winger.

Savinho, looks set to head to Spurs, meaning the Mancunian giants may soon be without the forward. This opens a clear gap on the flanks that Ndiaye could fill, offering both depth and competition.

Regarding price, Borson suggested a £70m fee would not be enormous today, noting that Crysencio Summerville fetched around £55m plus add‑ons. He argued that a bidding war would be needed to push the price higher and secure the deal.

Ndiaye’s form in English football has been solid. He featured in 34 matches for Everton across all competitions, scoring six times and providing three assists while operating primarily on the right flank.

The winger’s skill set – strong dribbling, driving runs, vision to create chances and a powerful long‑range shot – matches the profile Enzo Maresca seeks. Ndiaye can also play on the left or as a striker, giving Maresca tactical flexibility.

His contract runs until the summer of 2029, which could make a cut‑price deal difficult for Manchester City this off‑season. Nonetheless, his peak years lie ahead, making him a valuable long‑term asset.

To complete the move, City will need a couple of clubs to push the price up, creating competitive tension. If a bidding war materialises, the £70m tag could be met, and Ndiaye would be ready to challenge for a regular starting place at the Etihad Stadium.
