Mahmoud Dahoud begins a new chapter at Dubai United under Andrea Pirlo

Just under three months after the end of his contract with Eintracht Frankfurt, the 30‑year‑old former German national player Mahmoud Dahoud has found a new club: he is moving to the Premier League‑promoted side Dubai United in the United Arab Emirates.

Coach "Wizard" Takes the Helm

In Dubai, Dahoud will be greeted by a prominent coach whom he himself calls the “Wizard”: former World Cup winner Andrea Pirlo is set to lead the team. In July, Pirlo was close to being considered for the Italian national team.

Past in the Bundesliga

Dahoud played last season alongside Mario Götze at Eintracht Frankfurt, but never managed to establish himself as a regular starter there. Previously, in the summer of 2024, he moved from Brighton & Hove Albion of the Premier League to Frankfurt.

International Experience

The 2017 U‑21 European champion played two friendlies for the German national team in 2020. His contract with Eintracht was not renewed by mutual agreement.

On Facebook, Dahoud wrote about “a new chapter” alongside the “Wizard”. For him, the move to Dubai United represents the next stop in a career that has already taken him to Borussia Mönchengladbach, Borussia Dortmund and VfB Stuttgart.
