Madrid acts unacceptably in the Negreira case, says Laporta
The president of Barcelona, Joan Laporta, has assured that the club will be cleared in the Negreira case and explained that he has mended relations with Gil Marín. In addition, he congratulated the Tot Costa program on Catalunya Ràdio, which celebrated its ten years on air today and wanted to get in touch with him.
Champions League Objective
Laporta has declared that Barcelona's objective is to win the Champions League, working with a great squad and a very capable manager. Regarding the recent balance, the president values that the club has been saved in recent years thanks to collective effort. In five seasons it has won three Leagues, built a new stadium and enjoyed historic seasons, beating its great rival in every match. Barcelona's spirit has regained its joy.
Regarding the reconciliation with Florentino Pérez, Laporta maintains that the statements made by the Real Madrid president were false and that his only interest is to insult and harm Barcelona. He describes Madrid's conduct as unacceptable and assures that the club will be cleared, while Madrid drags out the process with an intolerable discourse. The relations between the two institutions are, according to him, nonexistent.
Laporta warns: Raphinha's injury threatens the Champions League
Laporta recalls that Barcelona was at odds with UEFA over the Super League proposal, but that project did not progress as desired. The dispute with the continental body ended without major consequences for the club.
Institutional Relations
The president says he has embraced the relationship with Gil Marín and that, although there are occasional disagreements, the personal good relationship between the two institutions is prioritised. He also mentions that ties with Atlético have been strengthened, maintaining a cooperative stance.
On another matter, Laporta notes that the news about Raphinha has been the most upsetting for them. The club is awaiting the fallout from that issue and acknowledges that unexpected situations arise during these pause periods.
The reconciliation event with Florentino Pérez is scheduled for November 25, and Laporta has reiterated that Barcelona will continue working to achieve its goals, including the conquest of the Champions League.
