Luis Enrique vows Kvaratskhelia will emerge stronger after ACL blow

Paris Saint Germain striker Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has suffered a serious right‑knee anterior cruciate ligament rupture and faces a lengthy lay‑off, but manager Luis Enrique insisted on Saturday that the Georgian will come back stronger because he is a warrior for Paris Saint Germain.
Injury details and surgery
Kvaratskhelia will undergo surgery in the next few days to repair the torn ligament. Luis Enrique, the PSG boss, described the injury as a hard one, saying, “It is a hard injury. You think about the player, what he will go through… He is and will be very important for us.”
Enrique added that staying positive after such news is difficult, but the club’s experience helps. “It is difficult to be positive after a news like this. We have experience. It is a risk when you are a professional player. You have to accept the positive and the negative, life is like that,” he said, insisting the setback does not alter the team’s plans.
He also referenced recent injuries to Ousmane Dembélé, Marquinhos and Nuno Mendes, noting that losing three players in one match is strange yet serves as motivation for the squad. Despite the blow, Enrique confirmed he does not intend to strengthen the roster in the upcoming transfer window.
The club expects Kvaratskhelia to be sidelined for a long period, meaning he will miss the remainder of the campaign.
