Luis Díaz names Harry Kane as favorite for Ballon d'Or

The Colombian striker Luis Díaz, 29, is among the 30 nominees for the Ballon d'Or, together with Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane and Bayern teammates Michael Olise as well as Dayot Upamecano. In an interview with the Bundesliga he explained who, in his opinion, should receive the award on Monday (Monday), the 26th of October (October) in London.

Díaz emphasized that the nomination is something special for him. “Yes, of course. It’s something extra because not many get the chance to be nominated,” said the 29‑year‑old Colombian. He added that he will remember it forever.

He also talked about what it is like to play alongside Michael Olise. According to Díaz, Olise promotes the attacking play and brings additional creativity. The partnership has helped him have an incredible year.

Regarding the Bundesliga title race, Díaz named Borussia Dortmund as one of the biggest threats to the record champions. He explained that Dortmund’s consistency and depth make them serious competitors. That is an indication of how close the season is progressing.

The official Ballon d'Or will be awarded on Monday, 26 October, in London. There it will be decided which of the 30 nominees will receive the title of the world’s best player. Díaz said he knows who, in his view, should take the prize.

The nomination underscores that Luis Díaz belongs among the best players of the season. Together with his Bayern teammates Harry Kane and Dayot Upamecano, he is part of a strong group that enjoys the international spotlight.
