Luis de la Fuente raises Spain's expectations before Wembley

‘Surely the atmosphere will live up to a Spain-England match. Nothing more could be asked for,’ he declared. The players will wear the second star on their shirts for the first time.

On the line‑up, he said he will select those he deems suitable and that some players are better or worse than they were two months ago.

‘We will pick those we believe are right for this match. We will try to get the line‑up right,’ he noted.

He acknowledged the absence of Marcos Llorente but expressed satisfaction with Eric, Porro and Fresneda.

Fuente also spoke about the media recognition he has received after the European Championship and the World Cup, stating that people know him much more now.

‘People see and come to thank us for what we have made them experience,’ he said.

He added that family remains a key word for the group, keeping it since the European Championship.
