Luciano Valente anticipates Champions League duel against Como 1907

In the press conference on Tuesday, the Groningen native with Italian roots, Luciano Valente, was in the spotlight as he discussed the upcoming Champions League‑duel with Como 1907. He called it "absolutely beautiful" to play against an Italian club and emphasized his enthusiasm for the match.

Valente’s expectations of the Italian team

Valente praised Como as a very organized and disciplined team with a close group dynamic and several exceptional players. He described it as a "beautiful pot" and pointed to the rapid rise of the club on Lake Como, which has become big in Italy in a short time.

The Feyenoord player also expressed his admiration for Argentinian international Nico Paz, who he says is a "fantastic player". Valente hopes that Paz "takes it easy against us", because he can learn a lot from such players.

Journalist Simone Gambino of GOAL had previously written about Paz as an "absolute taste‑maker" and predicted that he will develop into one of the best players in the world. In the same interview the Italian Valente himself was mentioned as an interesting player to follow.

The conversation also referred to other young talents in Italy, including Anis Hadj Moussa, who is seen as a great star, and Givairo Read, who was recently linked with Inter. Valente, who previously played for the Italian youth national team, has now chosen the Netherlands.
