Lotito era sees subscription drive plunge to record low
Historical subscription figures
The previous low under the current management dates back to the 2016/17 season, when roughly 6 000 season tickets were sold. By contrast, the 2025/26 campaign attracted 29 918 subscriptions and the 2023/24 season reached a historic high of 30 333, the peak of the Lotito era.
The collapse in numbers follows a fan‑led protest that has urged supporters to boycott home matches at the Olimpico, with the exception of the derby. The stance first appeared during the Coppa Italia tie against Mantova, played in largely empty stands, and is expected to be repeated for the upcoming league clash with Genoa.
Attendance under pressure
Nella Serie A 2025/26, data compiled by Calcio e Finanza show Lazio finished the season with a total of 590 367 spectators across 19 home games, averaging 31 072 per match, the seventh‑highest figure in the league. Yet the final home fixture drew just about 7 000 fans and the stadium’s occupancy rate fell below 50%, the lowest fill‑rate among all Serie A clubs.
With only around 4 000 season tickets secured for 2026/27, the club faces a loss of more than 85 % compared with the nearly 30 000 subscriptions recorded a year earlier. The steep decline turns the campaign into one of the clearest signals of supporter dissent toward the club’s management.
