Liverpool face fresh strike crisis as Isak injury looms

One of Liverpool's star players has had an injury confirmed, a development that could prove a massive blow for the Reds. Relative injury luck under scrutiny

Andoni Iraola noted that the squad has been relatively fortunate with injuries so far this season, despite being short in key areas. He added that things have gone okay given the constraints the club faces.

Liverpool have been down a right‑back because Conor Bradley has been injured since the start of the year. Giovanni Leoni has been out for over a year, and Leoni’s absence has been felt in defence. Curtis Jones has also been lost from midfield, and the club decided against replacing him.

Midfield depth remains thin, but the Reds have avoided further setbacks there, which Iraola described as a massive relief. At striker, Hugo Ekitiké will remain out for a while, meaning Isak is the only experienced option at the top of the line.
