LIVE Pejcinovic’s Doppelpack sparks fresh duel after five years

LIVE Pejcinovic delivers a Doppelpack as Hansa Rostock meet VfB Stuttgart in their first‑round DFB‑Pokal clash, the first encounter in five years after a series of three meetings Zwischen 2018 and 2020. The live action pits the Kogge against a side that has previously bested them, raising questions about whether the double will be enough to surprise the visitors.

Three‑year DFB‑Pokal series

Between 2018 and 2020, Hansa Rostock and VfB Stuttgart met three times in a row in the first round of the DFB‑Pokals. Each encounter formed part of a continuous Serie between the two clubs.

All three matches were contested under the DFB‑Pokals knockout format, meaning a single loss would end the tie. The repeated pairings underscored a budding rivalry in the German cup.

After those three meetings, the clubs did not face each other again for five Jahren. The upcoming clash therefore represents the next Duell in this historic sequence.

In the live action, Pejcinovic has already secured a Doppelpack, putting Hansa Rostock ahead. The striker’s two goals arrive as the match unfolds in the first‑round DFB‑Pokals.

The Hansa Rostock side, often called the Kogge, now hopes the early lead can surprise VfB Stuttgart. Observers wonder whether the double will be enough to overturn the previous cup record.

The contrast between a historic Serie of meetings and a fresh double highlights the unpredictable nature of cup football. The duel will reveal if the Kogge can rewrite the narrative after five years.
