LIVE: Genesio aims to restart scoring in Europa League vs Sturm Graz

DIRECT OM – Bruno Genesio and Ulisses Garcia will be at a press conference this Wednesday at 7:45 p.m. before OM's Europa League match against Sturm Graz on Thursday at 6:45 p.m. in Austria. After two heavy defeats, 4‑1 to Besiktas and 1‑0 to Olympiacos, the Marseille side hope to finally get their meter going.

Pressure and ambitions ahead of the Austrian clash

The conference, announced as “live in progress”, will allow supporters to follow the answers from Genesio and captain Ulisses Garcia. Both coaches will discuss the tactical adjustments needed to reverse the group's negative trend.

Sturm Graz's coach said he expects “a magnificent atmosphere” during the match, emphasizing the importance of local fan support. This remark shows the Austrian club's confidence, which wants to use its home ground to consolidate its position.

Genesio, relieved by OM's 5‑2 victory at Angers on Sunday in Ligue 1, described this turnaround as a “delightful scenario”. He praised his team's rise after a “nightmarish” start to the season.

The two defeats in the Europa League have left OM trailing in the group, making it urgent to pick up points. A win on Thursday could revive the momentum and restore confidence before the upcoming domestic fixtures.

Ulisses Garcia, captain and defender, will likely stress the importance of defensive solidity after conceding four goals to Besiktas. His leadership role will be crucial in organizing the back line against Sturm’s attack.
