LIVE: Bayern chase Champions League decision, Davies and Olise score

LIVE – After a 0-0 against FC Schalke 04, which gave FC Bayern Munich a setback in the Bundesliga, Jamal Musiala scored the 1-0 against FK Bodø/Glimt in the Champions League on Thursday evening, while Alphonso Davies and Michael Olise each added a dream goal to the first‑leg advantage.

The last Bundesliga appearance against FC Schalke 04 left Bayern Munich without points. The 0-0 draw was described as a setback and highlights the current lack of form in the German league.

On Thursday evening the Champions League clash against FK Bodø/Glimt takes place. Jamal Musiala is listed in the starting eleven, and the match forms the third part of the first matchday of the Champions League group stage.

Musiala opens the game

In the first half Musiala scored the 1-0 for FC Bayern. The goal came after a buildup by Konrad Laimer, with the Russian goalkeeper Nikita Haikin initially saving the shot before a quick substitution to the backup keeper Julian Faye Lund. The change marked a turning point in the match.

Alphonso Davies and Michael Olise each delivered a dream goal, further solidifying the first‑leg advantage for Bayern. Both strikes were described as perfect finishes to their moves.

Statistically Bayern dominated the game: 62 percent possession, five times more shots on target than Bodø/Glimt and numerous dangerous actions, including an 18‑meter shot from Musiala that narrowly missed the goal.

Nordtveit’s assessment

“That is a team with enormous offensive qualities and a defensive structure,” said former Bundesliga professional Havard Nordtveit from Norway. He emphasized that the professional outsider from Norway is strong offensively and can threaten any team.

Historically FC Bayern Munich has never lost to a Norwegian team. The match against Bodø/Glimt follows earlier encounters with Scandinavian opponents, which have always ended in favour of the German record champion.
