Lech Poznan considers Jakub Moder's return, Feyenoord midfielder
Lech Poznan is exploring the return of 27‑year‑old Polish Jakub Moder, who has been playing for Feyenoord since January 2025, and confirmed this during a meeting with supporters of the Rotterdam club. The transfer, which at the time cost €1.5 million, runs until mid‑2028 and is now being actively pursued by the Polish club.
Feyenoord signed Moder in January 2025 from Brighton & Hove Albion for a fee of €1.5 million. Since then the 27‑year‑old Polish player has made 30 appearances at De Kuip, in which he delivered five goals and three assists.
Frequent injury problems, however, have prevented him from fully stamping his mark on the Rotterdam club. The intermittent availability has hampered his development.
Contract and salary
Moder signed a contract that runs until mid‑2028, but Lech Poznan emphasizes that he would have to accept a considerably lower wage than at Feyenoord. The Polish club has indicated it is willing to facilitate the transfer, provided the financial terms for the player are acceptable.
With 36 caps for Poland, Moder is regarded as an experienced international, but there is still no clear signal that he is willing to lower his salary. His possible return to Lech Poznan, his boyhood love, remains a subject of speculation.
Transfermarkt currently values Moder’s market price at around €7 million, an amount that Feyenoord will likely demand. A potential agreement could place both the club and the player into a new chapter in Poland.
The contrast between Lech Poznan’s interest and Feyenoord’s financial demands underscores the uncertainty surrounding Moder’s future. The coming weeks will reveal whether the midfielder actually departs or remains at De Kuip.
