Late penalty secures point for WSG against Hartberg

Später Elfmeter secured the WSG Punkt as Hartberg rallied from an early lead to a 2‑2 draw in the sixth round of the Fußball‑Bundesliga on Sonntag at the Tivoli Stadion Tirol in Innsbruck. The Oststeirer had been two goals up before the late equaliser forced both Teams to share the spoils.

Hartberg opened the scoring when Oliver Lukic, on loan from Salzburg, converted a set‑piece in the 14th minute, giving the TSV the first lead. Marco Hoffmann doubled the advantage two‑thirds of the way into the half, making it 0‑2 at the 44th minute.

Hartberg’s early dominance

WSG responded through Lukas Hinterseer, who headed home from a corner in the 72nd minute, and then Murat Satin, who stepped up to take the foul‑penalty (Elfer) in the 95th minute, restoring parity. The Ausgleich came from the penalty, a Später Elfmeter that earned the Wattenern a vital point.

Late drama secures point

The WSG’s Elf kept the Ball longer, with Matthäus Taferner orchestrating play from midfield in his first start after the comeback. Goalkeeper Salko Hamzic struggled at times, but the team’s Fuß work created several chances, though Ein early chance was missed.

Defensively, Markus Schopp’s side limited Hartberg’s attempts, with Pecsi and Kainz forcing shots. Kein Sieger emerged as the match ended in a draw, breaking the recent Sieg streak of both Teams. Both clubs now sit unbeaten in their first four fixtures, WSG fifth and Hartberg sixth in the league table.

The point keeps WSG Tirol in fifth place and Hartberg in sixth, each with four games unbeaten, underscoring the tight competition in the Tirol region as the season progresses.
