Laporta warns: Raphinha's injury threatens the Champions League

During the live broadcast celebrating the tenth anniversary of the ‘Tot Costa’ programme on Catalunya Ràdio, Barcelona president Joan Laporta spoke about the club’s current issues, expressing concern over Raphinha’s thigh injury sustained in the friendly against Brazil.

Good relations with Atletico Madrid

Laporta highlighted the cordial relations with Atletico Madrid under CEO Gil Marin, despite the summer soap opera involving Julian Alvarez. The president noted that these ties counter the split with the blancos.

Raphinha, 29, suffered a thigh injury in the friendly against Brazil. “That was the news that upset us: we are awaiting the MRI results,” the Barcelona chief commented.

According to early rumors from the training camp with Ancelotti’s national team, the injury should not be serious for the winger. Laporta reassured fans about the player’s possible quick return.
