Lamine Yamal praises pressure after Spain's win at Wembley

Lamine Yamal, a young player from Barça, celebrated this Saturday Spain's victory over England at Wembley, where La Roja beat the opponent 2‑3 and he scored the first goal after winning the ball with high pressure. The forward also recalled the coach's instruction to intensify the pressure and said that his goal is always to help the team.

High pressure as the key to the goal

“The boss has asked us to go into pressure, to want to steal the ball,” Yamal recalled. He fulfilled the instruction and recovered the ball to score the first goal.

With that goal, he reached his eighth goal for La Roja.

“I have always said that sometimes I lose my mind, but sometimes I steal,” he said. “I was left one‑on‑one and I was able to put it in,” he added.

“It’s not that we don’t feel comfortable, but we don’t mind the opponent having the ball. We are very fast players and we know how to play on the counter‑attack,” he said about the team’s reaction when they were behind.

“You have to know what role there is in each match and we know how to do it,” he emphasized.
