UEFA to Choose 2029 Champions League Host Between Camp Nou and Wembley
UEFA will choose the venue for the 2029 Champions League final on 15 September. The candidates are Barcelona’s Spotify Camp Nou and London’s Wembley.
Spotify Camp Nou would host only the third European Cup final at the Barça stadium. Previous finals were Milan‑Steaua Bucarest (4‑0) in 1989 and Manchester United‑Bayern Múnich (2‑1) in 1999.
The 2029 final would be staged a year before the 2030 World Cup. Spain, Portugal and Morocco will co‑organise the tournament.
UEFA received Wembley’s bid in October. The English venue is the other contender.
The Executive Committee will meet on 15 September to decide. The decision will determine the host for the 2029 final.
A 2029 final at Spotify Camp Nou would showcase the stadium ahead of the World Cup. It would also mark the first Champions League final in Barcelona since 1999.
