Kortrijk chase South African winger as Club Brugge star seeks game time

The talented 21‑year‑old South African winger Shandre Campbell is poised to leave Club Brugge for recently promoted Kortrijk, HNB reports.

He seeks regular first‑team football after limited opportunities in Belgium’s top flight this season and hopes to showcase his talent.

Campbell joined Club Brugge in 2024 from United, where he logged 30 games and scored five goals.

He has made 18 first‑team appearances for Club Brugge, netting two goals, while also featuring for the Club NXT side in the Belgian second tier, scoring nine goals and providing two assists.

Despite these contributions, he struggled to secure a regular spot in the senior lineup.

Kortrijk, newly promoted to the Belgian top flight, have been active in the market to reinforce their squad.

Signing Campbell offers the club a talented winger who could be a smart addition as they aim to consolidate their place in the league.

Campbell is among the few South African players to leave the domestic league for Europe this year.

He will be joined by fellow South African international Relebohile Mofokeng, who departed Orlando Pirates to sign for Union St Gilloise, adding another winger to the Belgian scene.
