Klopp explains Manchester City case: little attention, much respect
Jürgen Klopp was asked during a press conference in Germany about his view on the ongoing Manchester City case, a subject he answered briefly with little concern but with respect for Pep Guardiola and the club and their style of play at that time.
As a former Liverpool manager, Klopp often faced The Citizens in the title race. He said: “I don’t think about it much, but of course I’ve heard about it.”
He added: “I can wait calmly. I have respect for Pep Guardiola, their football and Manchester City in the period when we played against each other.”
The current head coach of the German national team added that he is not much occupied with chasing a new title: “It’s not that I would need it, because I would have become champion more often. I have no problem with what has happened there, we have achieved enough.”
