Kean out of training: Italy at risk against Turkey
The Italian striker Moise Kean has not yet recovered from the knock he suffered in recent days and remains out of the national team training in Casteldebole, Bologna, casting doubt on his availability for tomorrow's match against Turkey at the Dall'Ara. Coach Roberto Mancini and also Como are watching the situation with concern, while the Bologna squad, base of the camp, is left without its striker.
The knock is described as “bad” and still haunts the striker. For this reason Kean stayed on the sidelines and did not take part in the national team training.
Mancini weighs alternatives
Coach Roberto Mancini watches the situation anxiously, fearing Kean’s absence for tomorrow’s match. Also Como, Kean’s former club, follows the developments with concern.
If Kean is unavailable, the coach could rest Pio Esposito to bring in Scamacca. Moreover, alongside Scamacca, Daniel Maldini and Cambiaghi could come onto the field, offering new options to the Azzurri.
According to Sky Sport, KEAN’s presence is today in doubt for the match against Turkey. The news was confirmed by the Sport channel, which highlighted the uncertainty about the lineup. The name MANCINI appeared in the national team’s official statements.
Italy, which trains at Bologna’s base in Casteldebole, will have to face Turkey at the Dall’Ara in Bologna without its leading striker. Kean’s absence could affect the national team’s offensive capability.
The contrast between the hope of a quick recovery and the reality of an injury still present highlights the team’s fragility before the match. Mancini will have to decide within a few hours which lineup to field against Turkey.
