KBVB appoints Kevin Van Damme for Jupiler Pro League matchday eight
The Belgian Football Association (KBVB) has released the referee and VAR crews for the eighth round of the Jupiler Pro League, confirming officials for the weekend’s fixtures, including the high‑profile clash between Cercle Brugge and Anderlecht and the La Louvière‑Club Brugge encounter.
After four matches involving the Rode Duivels and an unusually long international break, the domestic competition resumes, giving clubs a chance to rebuild momentum before the season’s second half.
Matchday eight fixtures
The programme features several intriguing ties, notably Cercle Brugge versus Anderlecht and La Louvière against Club Brugge, alongside five other fixtures that complete the eight‑match schedule for this round of the Jupiler Pro League.
Referee and VAR appointments
Kevin Van Damme will take charge of the Cercle Brugge‑Anderlecht game, assisted by Lennert Jans and Tom Vanpoucke, with Anthony Letellier as fourth official. Brent Staessens will operate the VAR system, supported by AVAR Jordy Vermeire and RO Istvan Lagaert.
Lothar D'Hondt is appointed referee for the La Louvière‑Club Brugge encounter, with Romain Devillers and Michiel De Cuyper as assistants and Massimiliano Ledda as fourth official. VAR duties fall to Matonga Simonini, AVAR Nicolas Maszowez and RO Carlos‑Manuel Serra Guerreiro Alho.
Nicolas Laforge will officiate another match, assisted by Laurent Conotte and Vito Di Vincenzo, fourth official Lucas Loockx, VAR Jasper Vergoote, AVAR Michael Geerolf and RO Glenn Claes.
Simon Bourdeaud'Hui is set to referee a further fixture, supported by Michele Seeldraeyers and Bryan Bijnens, fourth official Wesli De Cremer, VAR Jan Boterberg, AVAR Ella De Vries and RO Jonas Timmermans.
Nathan Verboomen will oversee a game with Mathias Hillaert and Maarten Toeback as assistants, Anthony Letellier returning as fourth official, VAR Lawrence Visser, AVAR Koen Thijs and RO Niels Bossuyt.
Bram Van Driessche will be the referee for another match, assisted by Yves De Neve and Quentin Lesceux, fourth official Massimiliano Ledda, VAR Erik Lambrechts, AVAR Jo De Weirdt and RO Jari Van Laere.
Bert Verbeke will take charge of the final match, with Martijn Tiesters and Kevin Debeuckelaere as assistants, fourth official Matonga Simonini, VAR Laurent Willems, AVAR Ken Vermeiren and RO Ermaild Mataj.
