Kane's double sets record, Perisic fights for Croatia

Harry Kane scored a brace in England's 125th international match and provided an assist, while Ivan Perisic scored for Croatia but later had to leave the field with a yellow‑red card. The match took place at Wembley Stadium, where the 33‑year‑old Bayern Munich striker became the record international player. With that, he led England to a third Nations League victory.

England's Record and Attacking Power

Kane, who plays for FC Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, increased the lead in the 40th minute to 2‑0 and again in the 57th minute to 3‑0. His cross led to an own goal by Vladimir Coufal, which also put England ahead. With 89 international goals he overtook Wayne Rooney and thus set a new record.

His performance also included an assist that set up the third goal, underscoring his importance for the Three Lions. Group A3 therefore remains open, as Spain retains the top spot with a 2‑1 win over Croatia.

Croatia fights, Merino turns the game

Ivan Perisic opened the scoring for Croatia in the 17th minute, but he was sent off in the 80th minute with a yellow‑red card. Mikel Merino equalised in the 61st minute and scored again two minutes before the end to bring Croatia back into the game.

Switzerland used its Nations League B match to climb further with a 3‑0 win over North Macedonia. Fabian Rieder from FC Augsburg, Johan Manzambi and Dan Ndoye scored the goals.
