Kane leaves Yamal out – Kylian Mbappé provokes Ballon debate

Bayern Munich's superstar Harry Kane responded calmly to the provocative remarks of Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappé five weeks before the Ballon d’Or is awarded. The Englishman emphasized that everyone has the right to express themselves, and pointed out that he would rather convince with his actions on the pitch.

Kane's 100‑Goal Milestone

In the 7‑0 victory over Union Berlin, the Bayern striker scored his 100th and 101st Bundesliga goals. He needed only 98 matches to reach the milestone, achieving it faster than anyone else.

Kane is considered one of the top favourites for the Ballon d’Or, which will be presented on October 26 in London. “I’ll just wait and see what happens,” he said, “I’ll keep doing my thing on the pitch.”

Bayern's sporting director Max Eberl also commented on the situation, without providing further details.

Spanish world champion Lamine Yamal (FC Barcelona) and French superstar Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid) have already publicly laid claim to the Ballon d’Or. Both are aiming for the coveted prize.

Kane praised Yamal as an “incredible player” and mentioned other candidates such as Michael Olise and Rodri. He added that many players are in the race.

Unlike Yamal and Rodri, who became world champions in the summer, Kane has not won an international title. With Bayern Munich he fell short in the Champions League semi‑final against Paris Saint‑Germain, and England finished third at the World Cup.
