Kane hails Haaland, says ‘Hij is a machine’, but they differ
Harry Kane praised Erling Haaland at a press conference today at 14:20, insisting the Bayern München striker is “a machine” but stressing they are two completely different forwards. The English captain’s comments come ahead of Saturday evening’s quarter‑final clash between Engeland and Noorwegen.
During the briefing Kane described Haaland’s goal‑scoring record as “incredible”. He highlighted the Noorse striker’s physical presence, calling him a beast on the pitch.
“Erling Haaland is ongelooflijk geweest, met zijn doelpuntenrecord,” Kane began, adding, “Fysiek gezien is hij een machine, hij is een beest. Zijn afwerking is van het allerhoogste niveau.” His praise underscored Haaland’s reputation across Europe.
Kane said he has great respect for Haaland as a player and a fellow professional. He also wished the Norwegian a calm day ahead of the match.
He emphasized that despite the admiration, the two are “totaal verschillende spelers”. Kane believes their styles and roles differ markedly.
The remarks set the tone for the upcoming England‑Norway quarter‑final, where both attackers will aim to lead their sides to victory. Both teams will look to exploit their striking options as the tournament reaches its decisive stage.
Kane delivered his remarks at a pre‑match press conference. The session was held on the same day as the upcoming fixture.
