Kamada's two assists spark Crystal Palace revival despite loss

Japanese international midfielder Daichi Kamada delivered two assists for Crystal Palace as they fell 2‑3 to Ipswich Town in the Premier League fourth round on 12 September, cementing his role as the team’s creative hub. His vision unlocked the opening goal and set up the late equaliser, drawing praise across social media.

Kamada's decisive passes

In the 14th minute of the first half Kamada slipped into the space between Ipswich’s midfield and defensive line, received a pass and threaded a through ball to right‑side midfielder Anan Karali, who finished to give Palace the lead.

Thirty minutes into the second half, substitute defender Takehiro Tomiyasu sent a vertical pass to Kamada, who immediately released forward Strand Larsen. Larsen turned and struck with his right foot, finding the far side of the net to level the score.

Across his first five official matches of the season Kamada has contributed one goal and three assists, underlining his growing influence on Palace’s attacking play.

Fans hail the new ‘hotline’

Social media erupted with comments such as “Kamada’s team now” and “Tomiyasu‑Kamada‑Larsen hotline is insane”, celebrating the trio’s link‑up play.

The club’s off‑field initiatives, highlighted in the feature “FC東京と豪州企業の挑戦とは”, continue to draw attention.
