Juventus threatens Woltemade in attack – Madueke's situation in London
Juventus Turin could gain new competition in attack for German international Nick Woltemade, because the Italian top club has set its sights on the hardly used Arsenal winger Noni Madueke. Alongside Atlético Madrid, Juventus is closely monitoring the situation of the 24‑year‑old attacking player, while Woltemade has been fighting for playing minutes since his summer loan move from Newcastle United to Turin.
Noni Madueke is currently getting little playing time at Arsenal. This season he started only in the Community Shield and the Carabao Cup from the beginning, and in the Premier League he has so far had only a few minutes – especially bitter for the former Chelsea professional after 16 starts in the previous season. Manager Mikel Arteta has alternatives such as Bukayo Saka, Christos Tzolis and Max Dowman.
Interest from Juventus and Atlético
According to several media outlets, both Juventus Turin and Atlético Madrid are closely watching Madueke's development. Both clubs could consider a transfer in January, with a loan deal also being discussed. For Juventus, the Englishman would be an additional option in attack.
German international Nick Woltemade moved in the summer from Newcastle United to Juventus on loan to get more playing time in Turin. There he has to compete mainly with Randal Kolo Muani for a place in the attack.
Madueke brings a different profile: he is primarily active on the flanks and is considered a strong one‑on‑one player. These qualities set him apart from Woltemade, who operates more centrally in attack.
At present, Madueke's situation at Arsenal appears to remain unsatisfactory. If nothing changes, the 24‑year‑old could consider a change of scenery in the winter.
Not only Woltemade, but also other observers are closely following the development of the English winger, as it could have potential implications for Juventus's attacking options. The situation therefore remains exciting for both players and the clubs involved.
