Juventus target River Plate’s Matias Galazara for midfield balance
Juventus have identified River Plate midfielder Matias Galazara as a transfer target, estimating a €6 million fee to secure the 22‑year‑old Paraguayan midfielder from the Argentine side. The Turin‑based club hopes to add him to their squad ahead of the upcoming season.
Whilst Bianconeri coach Luciano Spalletti is desperate to seize a new central midfielder to bring equilibrium to the core of the pitch, Juventus have been monitoring the 22‑year‑old Paraguayan midfielder throughout the FIFA 2026 World Cup. The Turin‑based club have also kept tabs on Franck Kessie and Tijjani Reijnders as alternative options. Spalletti wants a player capable of organizing the attack, dictating the rhythm in possession and constructing play whilst moving vertically, qualities he believes Galazara possesses.
If the €6 million fee satisfies River Plate, the Argentine outfits could allow Galazara to join the Italian giants, giving Juventus a promising midfield addition and leaving River Plate to replace a key young talent.
