Juventus target midfield reset with Miretti loan to Besiktas
Juventus and Turkish Super Lig club Besiktas are in direct talks over a loan with an option to buy for one‑cap Italy midfielder Fabio Miretti, a move that could clear midfield space for a free‑agent signing before the transfer window shuts.
Juventus' summer recruitment drive
Juventus have already added Randal Kolo Muani, Kerim Alajbegovic, Guglielmo Vicario, Jhon Lucumi, Jeff Ekhator and Zeki Celik to their ranks this summer. Head coach Luciano Spalletti said during a Saturday press conference, “In general we’ve had a good transfer market, some areas need a few cosmetic changes, others entire restoration projects.” The club remains eager to complete a few more signings before the window closes.
To accommodate further arrivals, Juventus need to free up both squad places and wage budget. Selling Miretti would achieve that, clearing a path for the club to bring in free‑agent Franck Kessie.
Besiktas' proposed loan structure
Besiktas have reportedly offered a loan deal with an option to buy for the 23‑year‑old midfielder. Miretti has just under two seasons left on his Juventus contract, which runs until the summer of 2028, and is valued at around €15 million
The Turkish side is led by Italian head coach Vincenzo Italiano, who joined Besiktas this summer after leaving Bologna.
Multiple outlets in Italy are reporting the negotiations, with Sunday reports citing Gianluca Di Marzio among the sources. The discussions are focused on the exact ‘formula’ of the transfer between Juventus and Besiktas.
Finalising the deal before the transfer deadline remains the next hurdle, as both clubs must agree on loan terms, the purchase option price and any related clauses.
