Juventus set tone in Europa League with early onslaught
In front of a roaring home crowd at the Juventus Stadium on Thursday the 17th, the Italian side wrapped up the opening round of the Liga Europa 2026/27 with an early five‑goal demolition of NEC Nijmegen, decisively securing three points.
Spalletti's side dominate early
The team, coached by Luciano Spalletti, built a comfortable advantage before the break. Their control in the first half set the tone for the match.
Nicolás González opened the scoring after nine minutes, followed by Kerim Alajbegovic at the 24‑minute mark. Just before halftime Nick Woltemade converted a penalty to make it three.
In the second half, Zeki Çelik added a fourth goal thirty minutes in, and Randal Kolo Muani completed the rout at the 37th minute. The Italian side managed the remainder of the game comfortably.
The victory puts Juve in a strong position after an irregular start to the Serie A 2026/27 season. The Italiano outfit now turns its focus to the next fixtures.
