Juventus revamp attack with three new forwards in aggressive summer overhaul

Juventus have completely reshaped their attacking options this summer, bringing in three of the four forwards currently on the roster as part of an aggressive transfer strategy under Luciano Spalletti. The club secured French striker Kolo Muani on a permanent deal after months of speculation, a long‑term target expected to add firepower to a side that has struggled to finish matches. "I was convinced Kolo Muani would arrive; he had been a long‑term target, and I hope he repays the club’s faith in him," said journalist Mirko Di Natale.

Genoa winger Jeff Ekhator arrived on a June deal, a move credited to sporting director Fabio Ottolini, who has known the player for years. "I hadn’t expected the arrival of Ekhator—an opportunity seized in June that bears the stamp of Sporting Director Ottolini, who knows him well," Di Natale noted.

The surprise loan of Newcastle’s Nick Woltemade was completed within days after failed attempts to sign Sorloth and Mateta. The deal materialised quickly, originating on a Friday and finalising between Sunday and Monday. "It was a deal that came together very quickly: it originated on a Friday and took shape between Sunday and Monday," Di Natale explained.

Defensively, Juventus added Jhon Lucumi from Bologna and Zeki Celik from Roma, bolstering depth but still leaving room for higher‑calibre acquisitions. "Jhon Lucumi and Zeki Celik are two good signings for Serie A. Their arrival helps boost competitiveness within a solid defensive unit, but let’s remember that they aren’t top‑tier players," Di Natale observed.

In midfield, Bosnian talent Kerim Alajbegovic was snatched from Bayer Leverkusen with Miralem Pjanic playing a pivotal role in the negotiation. "Miralem Pjanic played a pivotal role in Kerim Alajbegovic’s move to Juventus. Without him, the Bosnian player would most likely be elsewhere," the journalist added.

Between the posts, veteran Michele Di Gregorio departed and Tottenham’s Andrea Vicario was installed as the new first‑choice keeper, with Bartłomiej Grabara remaining as backup. "Vicario and Grabara will have to live up to the standards of a club that has historically represented excellence in that position," Di Natale said.

Despite the overhaul, Juventus have collected seven points from nine and conceded only one goal, yet they continue to lack cutting‑edge finishing. The new signings are expected to address that shortfall. "In my opinion, the three of them will manage to outperform the recent past—I am certain of it," Di Natale asserted.

The comprehensive revamp reflects Spalletti’s intent to build a squad capable of challenging for the Scudetto, with the transfer window still open for further defensive upgrades.
