Juventus in race for Michael Kayode, courted by big Premier clubs

For Juventus it's a tough challenge: the Italian full‑back Michael Kayode, currently a defender for Brentford and the national team, is at the centre of a heated race by the Premier League big clubs, including Liverpool, Newcastle, Arsenal and Tottenham. His contract renewal with Brentford is secured until 2032; an offer close to €50 million could trigger the transfer.

Premier Suitors

According to ANSA, the Premier League has already set its sights on Kayode, with Liverpool, Newcastle, Arsenal and Tottenham vying for the young defender. His debut goal in the blue shirt against Turkey, after his first call‑up by coach Mancini, has increased the interest of the English clubs. The former Fiorentina player, now a starter at Brentford, was also in Inter's crosshairs in the last summer transfer window, but Juventus is the most interested team in Italy.

Juventus' Role and Kayode's Future

The 'Old Lady', also nicknamed the 'Lady' and the 'Old Lady', wants to replenish the Italian defensive core and sees Kayode as an ideal profile for the back line. Kayode, who wore the Juventus kit in the youth teams, has signed a renewal with Brentford until 2032, but an offer close to €50 million could open the way to a transfer. Juventus, according to Calciomercato, remains in competition with the Premier big clubs to secure the defender, while the English club could decide to sell the young Italian international.
