Juventus eyes Napoli’s unsettled Serbian keeper amid goalkeeping doubts
Juventus are looking to plug a clear gap between the posts after doubts have emerged over current number one Michele Di Gregorio. The Italian champions see an opportunity to secure a proven Serie A goalkeeper who could become the first‑choice option.
Transfer journalist Nicolò Schira Napoli have offered their 29‑year‑old Serbian goalkeeper Vanja Milinković‑Savić to Juventus. The deal is being discussed through an intermediary, according to Schira’s information.
Napoli appear ready to move on after just one season with the keeper. The club is reportedly not fully convinced by Milinković‑Savić’s performances and is already exploring alternatives under the crossbar.
Milinković‑Savić joined Napoli last summer when the Italian side paid six million euros to sign him from Torino. During his single campaign he featured 38 times across Serie A, the Champions League and the Italian cup competitions, keeping fifteen clean sheets while conceding 38 goals.

Before his Napoli spell, the Serbian international built a long career in Italy. Torino signed him in 2017 for 2.6 million euros after he left Polish side Lechia Gdańsk, having previously been a free‑agent acquisition from Manchester United. He also spent loan periods at SPAL and Ascoli and a short stint in Belgium with Standard in 2019.
His time at Torino culminated in becoming the club’s undisputed number one. In the 2023/24 and 2024/25 Serie A seasons he recorded a combined 28 clean sheets, performances that earned him the move to Napoli.
The next step hinges on Juventus’s assessment of Milinković‑Savić and whether they can resolve the lingering uncertainty around Di Gregorio. An agreement would require Napoli’s consent and the completion of any contractual formalities, leaving the Serbian keeper’s future in flux.
If the transfer proceeds, Juventus would add a goalkeeper with Serie A experience and Champions League exposure, while Napoli would continue their search for a reliable option between the sticks.
