Juventus eye Brobbey: Spalletti greenlights €40 million deal

In the heart of Turin, Juventus executives are closely watching the young Dutch striker Brian Brobbey, while coach Luciano Spalletti has already given his consent to start negotiations, evaluating an investment of around 40 million euros.

A search that doesn't stop

The Bianconeri have not halted the hunt for a forward. After taking Woltemade in the summer as a temporary solution to replace Kolo Muani, the club closed that deal within a few days, as requested by Spalletti, to have an alternative with different characteristics.

Now the search for a striker continues: the executives are in constant contact with Juventus scouts to monitor suitable profiles and plan to approach potential targets between January and next summer.

Brobbey at the centre of interest

According to, one of the names on the Bianconeri's list is the Dutch striker Brian Brobbey, observed live by a collaborator of Massara and Ottolini in the match between the Netherlands and Germany at the Cruijff Arena, which ended 1-1 with goals from Nmecha and Gakpo.

The match, reserved for players born in 2002, lasted just over half an hour before Brobbey was forced to leave the field due to a thigh muscle problem; his condition will be assessed by Sunderland's medical staff.

The youngster will be sidelined for a few weeks, after which he will be available again, and Juventus plans to send emissaries to England to monitor him closely.

Costs and conditions of the possible transfer

Brobbey started the season in the Premier League with three goals in the first five matches. His contract with Sunderland expires in June 2029 and there are no signs of renewal.

The current valuation is around 40 million euros, with a salary of roughly 4 million euros per season. The striker is represented by the agency Sport Cover, which also represents Khéphren Thuram and Jeremie Boga.

reports that the name of Brobbey has already been discussed internally and that Spalletti has given the go-ahead to explore the situation.
