Juventus anxious over Conceicao: pain on the field, Haaland equalises

Juventus is feeling growing anxiety over winger Francisco Conceicao, forced to leave the field complaining of severe pain. The Portuguese national team, thanks to Joao Felix’s goal in the 17th minute, was forced to play the last two minutes with ten men, before the Norwegian striker Erling Haaland equalised.

News on Conceicao

Jorge Jesus, head coach of the national team and of the Seleção das Quinas, closely monitored the situation of the Juventus player, reported by the Portuguese newspaper A BOLA. In injury time, Francisco Conceição had left the field due to pain, but upon his return no substitution was made, suggesting it was only a scare. However, he was substituted in the 56th minute for the former Milan number ten, and further details on the 23‑year‑old are expected in the coming hours.

Joao Felix’s second consecutive goal put Portugal ahead 1‑0, but Erling Haaland, Manchester City’s striker, quickly equalised, bringing the score back on the board. The Nordic side pressed with more shots, but goalkeeper Diogo Costa and the defence kept the goal clean.

Rafael Leão and Francisco Trincão had warmed up to replace Conceição, but when returning from the dressing room no immediate substitution took place. Only in the 56th minute was the former Milan player introduced, closing the match with a reduced lineup.

Portugal dominated the first 45 minutes in Oslo with intensity and chances, maintaining the lead thanks to Felix’s placed shot from the edge of the box. With Conceição’s situation still uncertain, upcoming updates will be crucial for his future both at Juventus and with the national team.
