Juventus and Napoli in crisis, Frosinone shines in friendly

In the afternoon the Serie A friendlies sparked hopes and concerns, while the Italian national team drew 1-1 against France at the Stade de France thanks to Olise and Bastoni. Juventus fell to Cremonese, Napoli lost to Avellino, Milan finished 1-1 with Padova and Frosinone won 2-1 over Benevento.

Frosinone confirms its form

Coach Massimiliano Alvini led his side to the only positive result of the day. Frosinone beat Benevento 2-1, thanks to goals from Cittadini and Calò. The victory confirms the more than positive form of the team.

Juventus suffered a narrow defeat to Cremonese, with Bonazzoli’s opening goal deciding the match. Coach Luciano Spalletti was unable to turn the result around. Meanwhile Napoli were overwhelmed 2-0 by Avellino in Castelvolturno, with goals from Venturi and Di Maggio, while Costantino Favasuli suffered a second‑degree tear of the right thigh’s rectus femoris.

Other results and issues

Milan finished its friendly against Padova with a 1-1 draw. The youngster Ossola scored for the Rossoneri, then equalised by Sgarbi. The result did not change the preparation standings, but highlighted the need for continuity.

Parma, led by Gilardino in a first unofficial test, held at 1-1 against Virtus Entella. The Argentine Romero unlocked the score before the Ligurian draw was secured by Guiu.

Genoa, coached by Daniele De Rossi, were beaten 2-0 by Rapid in Bucharest. In the second half Lorenzo Colombo left the field with an ankle problem, a week before the match against Fiorentina.

The Italian national team played its third Nations League match, holding France at the Stade de France. The result was 1-1, with Olise’s goal followed by Bastoni’s equaliser.
