Juventus and Milan target Pavlidis: the €100m clause blocks Benfica

Juventus and Milan have added Vangelis Pavlidis to their list of targets for the January transfer window, according to English sources at CaughtOffside. The Greek striker, born in 1998, is at the centre of Italian interest after a brilliant start to the season with Benfica.

Pavlidis' profile attracts interest

Even the top Italian clubs are targeting the striker from the Portuguese side, as reported by CaughtOffside. The British portal highlights that the great start to the season, with 14 goals and 3 assists in the first 13 appearances, has put the spotlight on his consistent performance.

Pavlidis' goal‑scoring ability is highlighted, having attracted the attention of numerous top European clubs, including our Serie A. In addition to Juventus and Milan, Premier League clubs such as Tottenham, Aston Villa and Fulham have shown interest, although there are no concrete negotiations at the moment.

Benfica's release clause

Benfica consider Pavlidis an indispensable pillar and does not intend to sell the player during the winter window. Anyone wishing to submit an offer will have to face a release clause of €100 million, valid until 30 June 2029.

The competition is extremely strong: besides the Italian clubs, Barcelona is mentioned as a possible alternative, especially after turning down Robert Lewandowski and Julian Alvarez.

At present, the situation is in its early stage, with only inquiries from some English clubs, Spurs first and foremost. No negotiations have been started, but the interest remains high.
