Jürgen Klopp's second match: DFB team suffers historic defeat
On Sunday evening, as part of the second matchday of the Nations League, the German national team faced Greece in Augsburg. The second half started similarly, Conté received another chance in the 49th minute, followed by Younes Ebnoutalib in the 50th and Kimmich in the 53rd, but all were denied by the same goalkeeper. Nathaniel Brown's precise pass arrived in the 51st minute, but Felix Nmecha narrowly missed the goal.

A brief moment of danger arose when Fotis Ioannidis sent the ball from a prime position just centimeters past the left post. Shortly after, seven minutes later, Kourbelis scored the decisive goal that put Greece in the lead.

With that, Greece recorded its first win against Germany in the eleventh encounter – a historic certainty after the late shock. For Jürgen Klopp it was the first defeat as the new national team coach, after the debut on Thursday ended in a 1‑1 draw against the Netherlands.
