Jupiler Pro League highlighted, three youngsters spotted by The Guardian
While the Jupiler Pro League seeks to get noticed internationally, the Guardian has just placed three of its youngsters in the “Next Generation 2026” selection, bringing together sixty promising talents of their generation. Two Belgians – Joshua Nga, Kana and Xander Dierckx – as well as Bruges‑born Tian Nai Koren are thus recognized.
The Guardian unveils its Next Generation selection
The “Next Generation 2026” list by the Guardian records sixty young players considered among the greatest talents of their generation. Three of them play each week in Belgium, which gives them increased visibility. The two Belgians Joshua Nga and Xander Dierckx, as well as Club Brugge youngster Tian Nai Koren, are included. They represent Belgium within the selection.
Xander Dierckx, Belgian U17 international, played twenty‑three matches last season with the Blues and is part of the A core. This season, he has surpassed four hundred minutes of first‑team action, with several starts. Transfermarkt estimates his market value at three million euros.
Joshua Kana, Belgian U19 winger from Anderlecht, splits his time between the RSCA Futures and the first team. He scored his first professional goal against La Louvière last August. His market value is assessed at 1.2 million euros, reflecting the start of his career.
What the recognition means for the Pro League
Tian Nai Koren, trained at Club Brugge, completes the presence of the Jupiler Pro League in the selection. The “Blauw en Zwart” thus sees one of its youngsters highlighted alongside two Belgian compatriots. This international visibility underscores the attention given to Belgian talents.
For the Pro League, having three representatives in a global list is a valuable showcase for its youngsters. The Guardian gathers players from all corners of the world, showing that the Belgian league can compete in terms of scouting. However, this recognition does not guarantee the continuation of their careers.
Dierckx, Joshua Nga, Kana and Tian Nai Koren still have a long way to go. Their presence in the “Next Generation 2026” hints at a potential that could strengthen the reputation of the Jupiler Pro League in the years to come.
