Jule Brand thrills France with three assists and a goal

At the Stade de la Beaujoire, where Olympique Lyon fans cheer, the 24‑year‑old Jule Brand again shows her skill: for the third week in a row the German international is at the centre of the French top‑flight Ligue. After a convincing performance against Fleury and a goal against Le Havre she cements her reputation.

Second week: goal and more assists against Le Havre

On Friday, 18 September, Olympique Lyon faced another 8‑1 spectacle at Le Havre AC. Brand scored the 7‑0 goal, won the penalty in the 31st minute, which Ada Hegerberg converted a minute later, and provoked an own goal from the opponent with a skilful dribble.

After only three games this season, the 24‑year‑old international records one goal and four assists. If she maintains this level, she could surpass her personal best of 25 goal involvements; last season she scored eight goals and provided 13 more.

All of France marvels at Jule Brand's performances, which deliver not only assists but also goals. Her display underlines that the German international has become a decisive offensive factor in the French top‑flight Ligue.
