Journalists enchanted by 13-year-old prodigy David Ngoura
In the press room of the Stade de France, before the Belgium‑France match, two French journalists questioned the organizers about Anderlecht's young striker, David Ngoura Zanga David Junior, 13 years old, whose number 4388 is already impressing in Belgium as well as abroad.
French journalists won over
The two men were organizing a prestigious youth tournament in France, where they had spotted the prodigy in action. They immediately noticed his impact on the game and invited other journalists to join the conversation.
"This boy can do everything with a ball," they said. Finishing, dribbles, speed and vision of the game make up, according to them, a complete arsenal for a player of his age.
Performances that make headlines
During the Euro Bierbeek in August 2025, Anderlecht reached the final after eliminating AZ Alkmaar, FC Copenhagen and Tottenham. In the semi‑final, Antwerp was beaten on penalties.
The final ended in a 0‑3 defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt, but Ngoura received the tournament's best player trophy. This distinction highlights his influence despite the score.
In March of the same year, the Algarve Cup in Portugal saw Anderlecht finish third thanks to a 1‑0 win over Arsenal, a goal signed by Ngoura. He thus scored the only goal of the match.
During the 2025/26 season, Ngoura was listed with Anderlecht's U13s even though he normally belongs to the U12 category, notably scoring against Zulte‑Waregem. He was also fielded with this older generation in other matches, and in September he appeared on the match sheet for the U14s, where he remains one of the youngest.
The journalists noted that several scouts were already following the youngster during the French tournament, making him a target for recruiters. For Anderlecht, he is a name to watch closely, even though his future remains uncertain at this stage.
