John Terry backs Arsenal Premier League title Man City face sanctions

On his TikTok feed, Chelsea legend John Terry declared that the Arsenal Premier League title is now inevitable, after Man City were found guilty of almost all of their financial‑fair‑play charges. The former defender warned that City could face a massive points deduction, reshaping the race.

City face possible sanctions

Man City currently sit top of the Premier League, having won their first five matches. The governing body’s ruling on their FFP breaches could impose a huge points deduction together with other penalties. Such sanctions would be a major spanner in the title race.

Arsenal trail Man City by three points after a 3‑0 defeat to Brighton. Despite the loss, they are still regarded as the clear favourites to retain the Premier League crown. Their advantage is amplified by the uncertainty surrounding Man City’s possible punishment.

Chelsea’s unexpected dip

Chelsea, once tipped to challenge for the title during pre‑season, now appear weaker than many imagined. Terry noted that the club’s start was promising but has since become inconsistent. He believes the Blues are still a few years away from competing for the league.

“Unfortunately, it’s going to be Arsenal,” Terry said on his TikTok page about the Premier League title race.

He added that Chelsea had a good start and gave Arsenal a good game, but have been ‘hit and miss’ since. Terry remains hopeful of a top‑four finish, insisting the club is still a couple of years from challenging for the title.

“I just think you guys have got everything at the minute,” Terry explained. “They’re very solid, aggressive, up for the fight; once you win that battle you can then dominate the ball, and Arsenal have always been capable of doing that.”

Terry’s verdict underscores Arsenal’s position as favourites while highlighting how Man City’s potential sanctions could reshape the championship battle.
