Italy's Tresoldi powers Club Brugge with third hat‑trick in a month

On Sunday afternoon, Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi completed his third hat‑trick in 26 days, netting all three goals in a 3‑2 win over Sint‑Truiden. The Italian talent, who has been in magnificent form throughout October, added another brace to a tally that now stands at seven goals from four league appearances this month.

Champions League hat‑trick adds to tally

Earlier in OCTOBER, Tresoldi scored a hat‑trick in the Champions League, all three strikes coming in a 4‑3 victory over Inter at the San Siro. Those three goals form the Champions League portion of his October haul.

Four of his October goals arrived in the Belgian Pro League, bringing his league total to seven from just four appearances. The prolific output underlines his importance to the Belgian side.

The Sunday clash against Sint‑Truiden saw Tresoldi claim every Club Brugge goal, turning a tight contest into a 3‑2 triumph. His clinical finishing secured three points for the Belgian club.

Beyond club duties, the 22‑year‑old also recorded a hat‑trick for Germany’s U21 side in a 4‑1 win over Malta on 30 September, marking his third hat‑trick in the 26‑day span.

Across all competitions in the 2026‑27 season, Tresoldi has reached 12 goals from 14 appearances for Club Brugge, highlighting a rapid rise in form.

Italy supporters hope the youngster will choose the Azzurri for his senior career. Born in Cagliari to Italian parents and having moved to Germany as a teenager, he is expected to remain with Germany’s U21s until the European Championships conclude this summer.
