Italiaanse giants eye Kenneth Taylor as Lazio demand €50m
Vandaag om 19:23, La Repubblica reported that Juventus have shown interest in Lazio midfielder Kenneth Taylor, the 24‑year‑old former Ajax star, with the Italiaanse club reportedly demanding €50 million for his transfer. Lazio have indicated they would not cooperate directly with a departure, making any deal uncertain.
De Oude Dame sees Taylor as a prime target to bolster its midfield options. Juventus have publicly stated they are looking for extra reinforcements in the centre of the park, and the Dutch midfielder features prominently on their shortlist.
However, a deal remains distant because Lazio have set a €50 million price tag, while Juventus appear willing to go as high as €40 million. The Italian club has also signalled it would not cooperate directly with a departure.
Negotiations have not yet begun, as Juventus must first clear space in Turin. One of the players expected to leave is fellow Dutchman Teun Koopmeiners, who has attracted interest from Manchester United and Aston Villa.
Taylor arrived at Lazio last winter from Ajax for just over €15 million. The 24‑year‑old quickly became a regular, featuring in 17 Serie A matches and contributing three goals and two assists.
A training incident on Thursday saw Gennaro Gattuso send Taylor off the pitch, reportedly after a verbal exchange. The following day both parties confirmed that no lasting conflict existed and they resumed normal training together.
With the price dispute unresolved and squad adjustments still pending, any move to the Old Lady remains speculative at this stage.
