Isak scores twice as the Reds beat Ipswich in the Premier League

In the Premier League, Alexander Isak provided Liverpool with a decisive brace against Ipswich, scoring in the 6th and 9th minute, which allowed the Reds to take control quickly on the East Anglia side's ground on Friday evening.

It only took nine short minutes of play for the Reds on Friday evening to settle the matter on Ipswich's turf. The final score settled at 0-2, confirming the visitors' dominance. Isak's goals came in the 6th and 9th minute, leaving the Ipswich crowd without a threat.

The previous week, Isak had already found the net against Nottingham, thus opening his scoring run. This performance boosted his confidence ahead of the trip to Ipswich.

The first goal, supplied by the Dutchman Cody Gakpo, put the Swede in an ideal position against goalkeeper Kjell Scherpen, who saw the net ripple in the 6th minute. The opening was described as a perfect Gakpo‑Isak connection.

Three minutes later, Gakpo again released the striker from the right flank, where Isak made his defender dance before slotting a millimetre‑perfect shot in the 9th minute. Goalkeeper Scherpen could do nothing to stop the shot. This second goal sealed the result and left the Reds with no answer.

Gakpo, the decisive provider

Cody Gakpo, the Dutchman, was the architect of both goals, demonstrating rare vision and precision. His ability to free Isak was hailed as the key to victory. Supporters highlighted the duo's fluidity from the first minutes.

Barcola, first appearance since his arrival

Bradley Barcola was able to play his first half‑hour since his arrival, bringing freshness to the Reds' attack. His involvement was limited to thirty minutes, but it offered a glimpse of his potential.

This success provides a good way to get the team moving before Cholismo's return to Anfield next week. Liverpool will therefore be able to approach that match with confidence after breaking its winless run.
