Is Tuchel annoying Bayern with Kane's constant starting?
Thomas Tuchel sticks with the usual regulars for England, while Harry Kane apparently wants to start from the beginning in all four internationals – a scenario that, according to Tuchel, puts FC Bayern in an uncomfortable workload question, especially because the club has a tight schedule of Bundesliga, cup and Champions‑League up to the next international break in November.
Different squad strategies of Klopp and Tuchel
Jürgen Klopp has chosen a variant for the DFB‑team in which two almost completely different squads are used. In contrast, Thomas Tuchel remains loyal to his usual starting eleven for England, which, according to analysts, could bring a possible workload issue for FC Bayern.
According to Standard Sport, Tuchel explained that Harry Kane is “desperately looking” to start from the beginning in all four matches of the international window. The English international himself has made the desire for a continuous deployment clear. Such a continuous deployment could severely limit the striker’s recovery time.
The coach, however, emphasized that he has not made a final decision yet, but was enthusiastic about the idea. “Honestly, I would love not to rotate. My ideal scenario would be to always start the eleven with six or seven players we trust and convey that confidence to them,” Tuchel said.
England's tight international window
The Three Lions have so far played only one international match – a 2:3 defeat to Spain, in which Kane started, scored a goal and missed a rare chance from close range. They continue on Tuesday against the Czech Republic, then on October 3 against Croatia, and on October 6 again against the Czech Republic.
FC Bayern would be pleased if Kane could at least get a break in one of the games, as a dense schedule of Bundesliga, cup and Champions League awaits up to the next international break in November. Consecutive English weeks would further increase the strain on the club. A short recovery interval could also reduce the risk of injuries.
