Ipswich Town secures Premier League dream with Palacios signing

Exequiel Palacios leaves Bayer Leverkusen after a six‑year spell at the BayArena, signing a four‑year contract with Ipswich Town. The Argentine midfielder’s move fulfills his ambition to test himself in the Premier League following an outstanding Bundesliga tenure and to continue his development.

Four‑year contract seals move

Palacios has agreed to a four‑year deal with Ipswich Town, securing his services until 2028. The transfer marks the end of his six‑year association with Bayer Leverkusen, during which he featured regularly at the BayArena.

His six‑year stay at the BayArena began in 2017, allowing him to establish himself in the Bundesliga and gain valuable experience at the highest German level.

Managing director of sport Simon Rolfes said, "With this transfer, we are fulfilling Exequiel Palacios’ great wish to prove himself in the Premier League after his outstanding spell in the Bundesliga."

Rolfes added that Palacios’ outstanding spell in the Bundesliga was a key factor in making the move possible.
