Inter's comeback thrills Milan as Chivu hails Italian football

Inter overturns two‑goal deficit

Internazionale dominated the opening half of the Serie A fixture, creating several chances but failing to find the net. The visitors kept a tight shape, and the half ended 0‑0. Foi um jogo que teve um primeiro tempo dominante da Inter.

Napoli came out of the break with intent, scoring two goals in quick succession to lead 2‑0. Their first strike arrived within the opening minutes, followed shortly by a second that put the Milan side under pressure.

Os Nerazzurri responded with three goals in a 34‑minute spell, overturning the deficit to claim a 3‑2 victory. The winning goal arrived in the 45th minute of the second half, sparking an eruption at the San Siro in Milan (Milão).

Coaches praise spectacle and look to Europe

técnico Christian Chivu hailed the encounter as “Bonita de assistir, divertida, uma bela propaganda para o futebol italiano”. He described the spectacle as a beautiful showcase for Italian football.

Former Inter manager Fabio Capello also praised the match, noting a noticeable improvement in the calibre of Calcio this season. His remarks underscored the growing quality of the league.

Chivu further commended the officials, saying the game flowed with minimal interruptions. Opta recorded 56 minutes and 46 seconds of active play out of a total 100 minutes.

Napoli boss Massimiliano Allegri admitted his side paid a high price for mistakes, conceding five goals in two recent games. “We are paying too much for the errors, we must reduce them,” he said, adding that the match was less enjoyable for his players.

Both clubs now turn their attention to the Champions League, with Napoli hosting English champions Arsenal on Wednesday (9) and Inter travelling to face Real Madrid a day earlier.
